Partial List of Clients

This page contains a list of clients I have worked with over the past 18 years, both as a staff writer and contract or consultant. My work includes a large variety of technical documentation, internal corporate intranets, public web sites (including this one) and other published writings.

You can get a sneak peak at a book titled, "The Lost Adventure." This story is about my friend Ed and I, how we got lost on a mountain biking trip in Thailand. It is a true story of survival in the jungles west of the river Kwai, near the border of Thailand and Burma. I am in the process of submitting the book proposal for publication to a number of publishers. Ed wrote a series of long emails about our adventure and I added my comments and put it together in a book format. The following list is a sampling of the clients I have worked for over the past few years.

MDL Information Systems, Inc., San Leandro, CA

Provided training to a group of eight people as they began the implementation of Adobe GoLive for their complex company intranet. Topics included graphics, working with frame sets, character encoding, tables and overall site design using Adobe GoLive.

Computer Sciences Corporation, Oakland, CA - Completed November 2001

I played an instrumental role in the transition of the company to CSC, developing, managing and maintaining the company intranet. This proved vital in the communication and eventual transition of TRW to CSC. Soon after the transition, I was the sole technical writer and documentation expert left at the company. I then played a large role in hiring and training personnel to take over the group and its existing projects.

VISA USA & Visa International, Foster City, CA - Completed June 1993 and June 1997

Wrote an Acquirer and Merchant database User Guide for Service Quality Management. Developed a FrameMaker book template and style guide including HTML mapping and Acrobat PDF formatting. This was my third contract with Visa.

IBM Thailand Co., Ltd., Bangkok, Thailand - Completed July 1996

Working on a large, international staff of over 300 people, we were developing a tax program for the Thai government. I worked in the on-line documentation group to produce on-line help files for various tax modules. Wrote the on-line help Style Guide and Data Dictionary for the entire tax system, with over 1200 terms defined.
